ICE's Crypto Trading Platform Bakkt to Launch Bitcoin Futures

Total News – Atlanta, GA 10/23/2018. Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), leading operator of global exchanges, has announced that it will launch Bitcoin Futures on its platform Bakkt.

Bakkt is a global network to enable you to buy, sell, store and spend digital assets backed by Intercontinental Exchange's financial market infrastructure and technology.

The Bakkt Bitcoin (USD) Daily Futures Contract is a physically-settled daily futures contract for bitcoin held in Bakkt LLC, ICE's Digital Asset Warehouse, and will be cleared by ICE Clear US, Inc. The future contracts will start trading on December 12

According to the announcement:

"Each futures contract calls for delivery of one bitcoin held in the Bakkt Digital Asset Warehouse, and will trade in U.S. dollar terms. One daily contract will be listed for trading each Exchange Business Day. "

Last year, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) launched cash-settled Bitcoin Futures.
